Bootless Bay Photographic Fauna Survey

The Bootless Bay area, with its myriad habitats and diversity has one of the richest marine macto-faunas to be found anywhere. Neville Coleman has spent more than 150 hours underwater here - taken 8,000+ photographs and documented 1,500 species, so far, on the fauna survey, and spent countless hours cataloguing and identifying pictures and species.

Discoveries include the ghost pipefish, new commensal shrimps, new nudibranchs, short-nosed dragon fish, new crabs, hundreds of new records of sea stars, sea urchins, molluscs, ascidians and fish, inlcuding a new deep water grubih and pygmy seahorses living on sea fans.
